The Mozilla Foundation describes itself as "a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving choice and promoting innovation on the Internet".
The Mozilla Foundation is a non-profit organization that exists to support and provide leadership for the OS Mozilla project. The organization sets the policies that govern development, operates key infrastructure and controls trademarks and other intellectual property. It owns a taxable subsidiary called the Mozilla Corporation; which employs several Mozilla developers and coordinates releases of the Mozilla Firefox web browser and the Mozilla Thunderbird email client.
I have used Mozilla Firefox which is a free, open source, cross-platform, graphical web browser developed by the Mozilla Corporation and hundreds of volunteers. I hqve used it both qt home qnd in school and have also been using other web browsers such as Apple Safari and Microsoft Internet Explorer. I started using it because my dad installed it on my PC at home and told me to use that rather than Internet Explorer and I have since then used it.
Firefox includes an integrated pop-up blocker, tabbed browsing, live bookmarks, support for open standards, a skinnable interface and an extension mechanism for adding functionality. Firefox has attracted attention as an alternative to other browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari, which are included as standard browsers with versions of Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X, respectively.
I started using Firefox mainly due to it's tabbed browsing which made online research or online enteritainment easier because I didn't have to open up so many web pages. It makes it easier to view different pages, and thus is very useful to users like me, that openp several web pages at the same time. However, the new Microsoft Internet Explorer has got tabbed browsing as well and thus I got used to it again, not using Mozilla Firefox. That is mainly because I believe Internet Explorer has got a better design, but then again that is just my opinion.
